Trauma-Informed Peacebuilding & Conflict Resolution
Restorative support for teams, partnerships, coalitions and community–security actors facing high-stakes conversations, stuck conflicts, fragile trust or armed‑violence.
When pressure is high, policies alone don’t move people. We create conditions for safety, truth-telling, and durable agreements—so your work can continue with less friction and more alignment.
Field‑tested: I’ve designed and implemented peacebuilding and restorative‑dialogue interventions in contexts affected by high levels of armed violence and displacement, including work on ceasefires and ceasefire‑monitoring arrangements. I have worked in Asia, the Middle East, and Eastern Africa.
Who This Is For
NGO/INGO teams & departments: program/ops friction, repeated blow‑ups, siloed decision‑making.
Cross‑organizational partnerships & coalitions: donors–implementers–community interfaces, consortium tensions.
Boards & leadership teams: strategy misalignment, governance disagreements, founder/successor transitions.
Movement networks & volunteer collectives: values clashes, burnout‑driven conflict, online/offline dynamics.
Community–security interfaces: dialogues between communities, local authorities, and security/public‑safety actors (military, police, security agencies).
If you need a neutral facilitator who understands trauma, power, armed‑violence risks, and organizational realities, this is for you.
What I Help You Do
Resolve stuck conflicts that resurface despite prior “agreements”.
Convene high‑stakes dialogues where safety and dignity must be protected.
Run post‑incident debriefs that surface truth without re‑harm.
Bridge “policy vs. people” collisions; move from compliance to real buy‑in.
Reduce meeting overload; make decisions people actually keep.
Build coalition playbooks where roles, risks, and recognition are explicit.
Design, support, or strengthen ceasefire & monitoring mechanisms that communities trust.
How I Work with You
Neutral & restorative. Every voice is honored within clear containers and boundaries. The aim is repair and forward motion—not blame.
Trauma‑aware & paced. We sequence the work (prepare → convene → integrate), use safety protocols, and employ body‑based regulation tools to prevent overwhelm.
Participatory & structured. Expect discovery interviews, conflict mapping, option‑testing, and explicit behavior‑based agreements with follow‑up rituals.
Systems‑savvy. We translate between field realities, leadership constraints, and donor/accountability requirements—so agreements hold in the real world.
If your team or partnership is navigating a stuck conflict, I'd welcome a conversation.
